Overview
Dante here puts the Sowers of Discord, including Mohammed, who is ever slashed open with a sword. I suppose that is fitting, in a way, given the violence that some of his followers feel the need to enact against the infidels of the world.
My Ninth Bolgia is for Crusaders, those that practice an advanced form of Sectarian Violence. They are not content to fight in their own neighborhoods but would travel even up to halfway around the world for the pleasure of putting a heretic to the sword.
